About the ORI Annual Training Conference:

The Organization of Racing Investigators’ Annual Training Conference brings together racing investigators, stewards, regulatory officials, law enforcement personnel, and industry professionals from across the country and around the world for several days of training, collaboration, and professional development.

In 2027, the conference will be held at historic Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California, one of the most iconic venues in American horse racing. Against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains, attendees will have the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas at a venue with a rich history in the sport.

The conference features expert-led presentations, case studies, and discussions addressing current and emerging issues in racing, including investigations, equine safety and welfare, anti-doping efforts, regulatory enforcement, surveillance techniques, emerging technologies, and inter-agency cooperation.

More than simply a training event, the ORI Annual Conference provides a forum for investigators and racing professionals to build relationships, share intelligence and best practices, and learn from the experiences of colleagues across jurisdictions.

Through education, communication, and collaboration, the conference strengthens the investigative community and supports ORI’s continuing mission to protect the horse, preserve the integrity of racing, and maintain public confidence in the sport.

ROAP-accredited judges and stewards receive 16 hours of continuing education credits.
